I'm a northern soul...
...with itchy feet. A born and bred Mancunian, I've always loved to travel and I've lived in Thailand and Vietnam, teaching little ones and adults before returning to Manchester where I taught people from all over the world for 8 years. I love meeting people from different countries and cultures and learning about their lives.
My crew are Rich, Frank and June. My little unit who challenge and ground me in equal measure; my everyday life joy-bringers. I've been called a baby whisperer but this doesn't seem to cut it with my two firecracker kids! Our favourite family pastimes are kitchen dance-offs, outdoor adventures (forests, beaches mountains and lakes) and snuggling up with a book in bed. Frank's current fav is Harry Potter while June's top pick is A Busy Day For Birds.
My greatest loves are my family & friends, food and travel. Combining these things is my ultimate bliss; whether it's cooking and scoffing a roast with mates, taking a 2nd class sleeper train through India while sampling the various train snacks or learning to make a Massaman curry from a Thai friend.
Crafting, embroidery and creating anything with my hands are my go-to for relaxation. And a good book is always to hand, usually set in another country so I can travel vicariously!
Treasure-maker, coral reef diver, sweet treat baker, fair-weather camper, enthusiastic adventurer, crossword geek, tea AND coffee drinker (both life necessities), sea-scape listener, koala hug pusher, sunset watcher, margarita guzzler, star gazer, dance fight dancer, occasional karaoke singer (sometimes in fancy dress).
